SECONS Discussion Forum

Track 1 | Track 2 | Track 3

The SECONS (Socio-Economics of Space) Discussion Forum publishes theoretically-informed and original interventions on currently debated issues. On each of these issues we invite four to six papers that constitute a ‘track’. In addition to papers from established areas such as social and economic geography, regional economics, economic and urban sociology, we are particularly interested in crossdisciplinary contributions to reflect the diversity of our field.

We see the Forum as something in between an online discussion group and an academic journal. Given its online character, the Forum will be quick enough to ensure a lively debate and given its editorial control it will be serious enough to ensure sound academic standards.

Manuscripts should be submitted as e-mail attachments to one the series editors, Gernot Grabher (grabher(at)giub.uni-bonn.de) or Oliver Ibert (ibert(at)giub.uni-bonn.de). Manuscripts should conform to the following guidelines: typed in WORD 2000 or equivalent, between 1.500 and 4.000 words, 1.5 spacing throughout, with name and contact details of author(s), paper title, and a list of references. Style should be consistent with previous contributions in the Forum.

We have a non-exclusive publishing policy, but we assume that manuscripts submitted to the Discussion Forum have not already been published elsewhere. When the Forum contributions will be published in journals, we expect the authors to inform us and we will then withdraw the manuscripts from the Forum.
